CAM users can import tooling parameters
directly
Pathtrace's off-line programming software EdgeCAM, version 7.75, allows users to import tooling parameters from the Sandvik Coroguide electronic tooling catalogue.
The latest release of Pathtrace's off-line programming software EdgeCAM, version 7.75, now provides direct integration with the Sandvik Coroguide electronic tooling catalogue, allowing EdgeCAM users to directly import tooling parameters, which significantly reduces the time taken for programming and tooling set up The Coroguide electronic catalogue of some 25,000 tooling components enables the selection and make up of tool assemblies by searching either by application or product category

This latest software release adds the benefits of integration with our partner's tooling catalogue allowing Sandvik tooling assemblies to be directly loaded into the EdgeCAM ToolStore." As Pathtrace's collaboration with Sandvik Coromant continues to develop, all Sandvik training centres are now using EdgeCAM to jointly promote the benefits of best practice machining techniques developed for use with its latest cutting tools.
Waino Kaarto, global business development manager, mould and die making at Sandvik Coromant maintains: "We are extremely pleased to offer all EdgeCAM users our complete tooling and cutting data which will facilitate the choice of modern, high production tools.
