Edgecam chosen for high performance transmission
Faced with an ever-increasing demand for more complex machined surfaces, motor sports supplier, Hewland Engineering, has invested in Pathtrace's Edgecam system.
"Our aim is for Edgecam to have the best user interface of any CAM system," said Dave Plater, Development Director at Pathtrace.
Instructions can be highlighted and renamed, and a search facility allows the user to search long and complex lists, allowing fast and simple re-ordering and rationalization of machining instructions.
Geometry validation is performed at each cycle or sequence change.
New operations with unique dialogues incorporating images and videos significantly enhance ease of use, providing even novice users a simple and quick introduction to Edgecam.
