The Advantech WebOIT system of operator interface with bundled browser software package being introduced in the UK by PBE Systems integrates HMI graphics and PLC connectivity with web server technology, allowing machine and process data to be received in real-time from across a plant or any remote location with a simple internet connection Significant cost-savings and operational advantages are offered by the fact that after installing the initial WebOIT industrial terminal, at little more cost than an ordinary shopfloor quality HMI, as many further HMIs as required can be added to the system at other locations without having to pay for any additional run-time licences
