Advantech A-Studio 5.0 SCADA and HMI software has been developed to dramatically reduce cost, with full system performance, and comes from PBE Systems with 1500 run-time 'tags' at what is said to be less than even the lowest competitor specification of just 75 tags Incorporating Web and OPC Servers, direct-dial modem support, e-mail file attachments and new graphic objects, it allows remote controlling and monitoring of all live plant processes from outside, through network or dial-up connection using standard web browser technology

Personnel can maintain constant surveillance on occurring alarms with the system's page and email warning capabilities.

The direct-dial modem supports WinCE dial-in connections, initiates on-demand browsing and upholds remote installations without requiring an ISP for point-to- point only connections.

The OPC Server implements open connectivity to SCADA and integration software, while a 'Data Concentrator box' offers large market potential further extended by the system being bundled in such a cost-effective platform.

Ease of configuration and use is provided through a renovated graphic set-up and the system supports bitmaps and dynamic text objects.

Other features include a main driver sheet, unicode support, and dynamic IP address support for Intranets.
