Tools changed on mill/turn without removing driver
Tool holding system for mill/turn centres allows a tool change to be made in a few seconds, without having to remove the driven tool from the machine turret.
Collet chucks using ER collets and bushes further enhance the versatility of the heads.
The design concept of the heads allows precise adjustment of diameters using graduated dials on each station and tool length by an adjusting screw within the tool holder, this makes the heads ideal for presetting or adjustment on the machine.
The heads can be supplied with standard back ends HSK, DIN or threaded rings or if required special fittings to suit a particular machine, balancing rings are fitted as standard on the 70 and 100 models.
A recent installation on rotary transfer machines resulted in a reduction of change-over times by up to 4.5h, the heads where preset and produced a sized component first time off.
