Free guide to the Machinery Directive

A free 'Guide to the New Machinery Directive' is designed to help companies prepare for the new regime, which has important implications in building or importing machinery for use in the EU.

For BS EN ISO 13857, Procter Machine Guarding has revised its Safety Distance Calculator for establishing the required safety distances and heights of machine guards.
Although the main thrust of the new Directive is simplification and clarification - especially with regard to relationships with other Directives - there are other changes that will have a significant impact.
In this third amendment of the Machinery Directive, alterations have been made in respect of the scope, partly-completed machinery, fixed guards, conformity assessment procedures, enforcement and other areas.
