The Etipack Super, a high-speed "news pointer" label applicator, specially designed for the newspaper industry by Etipack, will be introduced for the first time at Northprint 2007.
The specialised labeller has been designed to apply labels on the front or inside pages for outputs up to 1000 pcs/min.
The applicator can be customised to accommodate varying label sizes, shapes and positioning on the page.
"The Etipack Super provides enormous potential to the newspaper industry to creatively utilise labels as an on page marketing tool." explained Duncan Macintyre, Managing Director, Partners in Packaging.
"Labels can be used to highlight news stories, as reader offer vouchers and for advertising." continued Macintyre.
To apply labels to front pages the Etipack Super is configured with a motorized label reel unwinder and rewinder.
Etipack developed a second solution to apply labels to internal pages using a motorized unwinder and suction device for backing paper.
This solution incorporates a jumbo unwinder with splice rollers for easier and faster joining of label reels without stopping the line, and for higher autonomy with reels over 400 mm diameter.
Also on show will be a System for applying sequentially batch coded labels to blank cartons and envelopes, comprising a high speed Vacuum base conveyor designed to maximise product accuracy throughout label application, a Streamfeeder Model V710 DM Universal Friction Feeder, to take a stack of products and singulate and feed them onto the conveyor, and an Etipack Surprise labeller, capable of applying labels measuring up to 130mm wide at a linear speed of up to 30 Metres/min.
