* Valuble information - compiled by the editorial and conference teams of 'Plastics and Rubber Weekly' and 'European Plastics News', the PDM conference programme is designed to avoid sales pitches and focus on the invaluable experience of leading experts from throughout the supply chain.

The Moulding Business Debate illustrates the high level of the event's speakers, boasting a line-up that includes: Ian Hunter, managing director of Birkby's Plastics; Ian Williamson, chief executive of Carclo; and Colin Sarson, managing director of WH Smith and Sons (Tools).

These industry movers and shakers will be part of the panel debating the challenges and opportunities facing UK moulders.

The critical issue of globalisation will be addressed by an equally impressive line-up.

Gary Allan, managing director of Carclo Technical Plastics, will discuss his company's experience of setting up moulding operations in Eastern Europe.

Paddy Green, managing director of Premier Security Products will do the same for China.

Completing the session will be a presentation on added value moulding given by Rune Bakke, CEO of Forteq, the global moulding group spun off from Mikron.

* Award winning experiences - in addition, all three of the companies shortlisted for this year's illustrious Processor of the Year Award will discuss specific areas of their businesses that have helped them to rise above the competition.

Overall winners Bespak will discuss how they integrate sustainability into a world-class manufacturing operation.

HBC Engineering will be speaking on supplier-driven plastics design and moulding, while Hi-Tech Mouldings will outline how they have benefited from state-of-the-art ERP technology.
