Tube labelling machine order illustrates trend
An ongoing industry trend is towards labelling tubes as opposed to using pre-decorated tubes; a trend that has been evident since the arrival of bespoke tube labelling machines.
Packtest said that with its equipment, products and packs can be tested to the standard required by ISTA, BS, EN, ISO, DEF STD, MIL, IEC and other worldwide industry, mail order and trade standards.
The business can also offer additional testing, such as Cobb Water Absorption, Taber Stiffness, Mullen Burst, moisture and adhesive peel, amongst others.
The company is currently a member of the ISTA but it is not yet fully accredited to that or other groups, as Packtest's facility was built up primarily for its own internal use.
However, formal test procedures are followed and accreditation will be sought in the very near future, added the company.
As a result, its facilities to its existing clients and others, are being offered for general screening tests and mensuration, at short notice and at what have been described as considerably reduced rates compared to other facilities.
Packtest's current clients include Hozelock plc, Baxi Fires Division, Flambeau Europlast and Heatrae Sadia.
