Sealer operates at up to 90 trays/min
A leading UK supplier of 'ready meals' has installed two tray sealers - are able to deliver speeds of 90 trays/min - and a tray diverger and converger to enable trays to be directed to either sealer.
Traysealer changed with minimum downtime
User friendliness and excellent reliability are two key benefits quoted by a user of a traysealer, whose connections system, enables tool changes to be carried out with minimum downtime.
The Proseal AP60 has been designed to run in conjunction with auxiliary equipment, such as tray de-nesters, fillers, multihead weighers and labellers.
With claimed throughput speeds of up to 160 packs per minute (ppm), the machine is suitable for a range of food products, said the company.
Its modular construction allows customers to specify conveyor length, width and tray pitch to accommodate exactly their tray de-nesting and filling requirements for fully integrated control of the entire filling and sealing operation.
A servo drive conveyor option is available for difficult-to-handle products.
'Free flow' gas flush can be specified for extended shelf life products, whilst other options include pre-printed film, film coding and printing and automatic clip-on lid over capping.
The AP60's film feed system, using the minimum of rollers, is said to eliminate confusing film loading paths and reduces down time during reel changes.
Precise temperature and seal pressure control ensure perfect seal quality and the user-friendly, menu driven control panel features step by step prompts, error and status displays and a batch pack counter, said Proseal.
The machine's anodised aluminium and stainless steel construction - manufactured to food industry approved hygienic standards - is claimed to provide durability and reliable performance.
Maintenance free plastic bearings are used in water contact areas to further increase longevity.
"The Proseal AP60 is an ideal complement to high-speed production lines, offering an integrated, customer-specific heat-sealing system," commented Proseal director Stephen Malone.
