PFM the wholesome choice
Wholebake, which was founded in 1984 with the aim of providing wholesome vegetarian foods to the masses, has recently placed yet another order with PFM Packaging Machinery.
The company approached PFM after a need arose for it to produce multi-packed products including flapjacks and high energy bars, in a new packaging format Wholebake's mix of automated and traditional bakery means production capability can range from short runs to 40,000 bars a day, and it therefore required a flexible machine that could also cope with high volume

Wrapper Adapts To Different Durable Products Packs

Wholebake, which was initially formed in a small farmhouse kitchen, now employs 25 staff and operates from a 15,000 sq factory with two production lines.
Previous purchases by the company comprised a PFM Hurricane flowrapper, which was installed in March 1997, and a PFM 50 flowrapper supplied and installed way back in April 1989.
PFM's high quality machines and previous excellent service made it the first choice when Wholebake required an additional machine to cater for the new demand for multi-packed products.
Wholebake, whose products are approved by both the Organic Food Federation and the Vegetarian Society, are available in retail stores nationwide including one of the UK's leading supermarkets.
The company prides itself on installing the best possible state-of-the-art technology to handle the ever increasing demand for healthy and tasty vegetarian meals and snacks.
