Wrapper Adapts To Different Durable Products Packs
PFM Packaging Machinery is launching a new machine specifically aimed at the durable and non-food sectors.
Highly flexible, the Pearl is suitable for numerous markets and is expected to be a massive hit at Pro2Pac, especially since the machine has not been exhibited before.
Also to be displayed is PFM's popular MBP10 Multihead Weigher which is already in use in countless food factories throughout the UK.
The 10 head version is one from a range of 8 - 24 multihead weighers.
Constructed from rigidised stainless steel, the MBP10 is designed to weigh at high speed and with extreme precision.
The working principle is based on the distribution of product onto the weigh buckets and on the identification of the best discharge combination, which is reached through an algorithm of combinatorial analysis in order to obtain the optimum speed/precision relation.
PFM's final exhibit is an Azimuth vertical bagger.
Capable of packing nuts, biscuits, sweets, bread rolls and numerous related items, the machine can operate at up to 85 packs per minute to produce an assortment of different aesthetically attractive bags, including the stand up, Steelo bag with rigidised corners.
Offered with a choice of servo or pneumatic sealing jaws, the bags are produced through a forming tube which is easily changed to accommodate a wide range of different bag sizes.
A friendly touch screen allows the operator to easily make packaging changes such as size changes and formats in a matter of minutes.
Supplied with a PLC control, it can be interfaced with a variety of other equipment including PFM's multihead weighers to provide a complete packaging line.
Sales and operations director, Chris Bolton who will be attending the show says: "PFM is delighted to be attending the first Pro2Pac where we will be displaying a number of exciting machines including the first time UK exhibited Pearl Flowrapper.".
