Wrapper Adapts To Different Durable Products Packs
PFM Packaging Machinery is launching a new machine specifically aimed at the durable and non-food sectors.
Ideal for companies producing multiple size packs and for contract packers due to the machine's versatility, the new Pearl is highly flexible and comes with a host of advanced features.
The fully servo horizontal wrapper produces a pillow-style pack in a variety of different sizes from a flat reel of heat sealable film.
Complementing the Pearl is the Scirocco, a high speed, long dwell, high integrity seal flowrap machine for MAP type applications.
The machine will be exhibited at the show with an automatic feeding system.
Ideal for critical sealing applications such as pharmaceutical and medical type packaging, the Scirocco is suitable for numerous packaging applications.
Also to be shown is the Vetta 3348, a vertical form fill and seal machine, which was successfully previewed at PPMA last year.
Designed to produce bags with rigid corners, EasyPak reclosable bags, Zip bags and 'Doy' style stand up pouches, it is ideal for a wide range of food bagging applications.
Typical packs include sweets, cheese, fish, ingredients, sausages and sliced meats to name but a few.
PFM will also be exhibiting its popular MBP14 Multihead Weigher which is already in use in countless food factories throughout the UK.
The 14 head version is just one from a family of machines ranging from 8 - 24 multihead weighers.
Constructed from rigidised stainless steel, the MBP14 is designed to weigh at high speed and with extreme precision.
For the more budget conscious, PFM will be exhibiting the Swift, a highly versatile entry-level flowrapper.
Capable of operating at 80 packs per minute, the machine is very user friendly and can accommodate a wide range of seals, making it suitable for a variety of packing requirements including confectionery, fresh produce, durables such as cleaning items and even household disposable items.
Sales and operations director, Chris Bolton, who will be attending the show, says: "PFM is delighted to be attending Total's 2007 exhibition, where we will be displaying a number of exciting machines including the new Pearl Flowrapper.".
