Panel interface enhances power control
monitoring
Panel mount interface provides real time monitoring and diagnostics of behind the panel SCR's/thyristor power controllers.
CD Automation has introduced the CD-KP, an 1/8 DIN panel mount interface that provides real time monitoring and diagnostics of behind the panel SCR's/thyristor power controllers Control data can be accessed locally at the panel or remotely in a control room environment and provides the user with improved process control without the need to open the cabinet

Thyristor power controllers get diagnostics
The addition of heater break alarm across a range of thyristor power controllers provides the user with alarm and diagnostic information such as partial or total load failure and SSR failure.
Tiny tool makes SCR configuration easy
Packaged in a tiny 25x60mm housing a support tool provides a low-cost way to configure the most complex of SCR/thyristor control units.
The CD-KP is compatible with any thyristor from their extensive range of 1, 2 or 3 phase control units that has an RS485 communications port.
The CD-KP acts as an interface communicating with up to 10 individual Thyristors, either locally via the keypad or remotely with a PC using RS232.
The CD-KP has a dual 4-digit display that will indicate the real-time vales of current, voltage or power at the users discretion.
There is a third, single digit, display that indicates the address number of the Thyristor being referenced.
Using the free PC based configuration software, the user has the possibility to view all parameters within the Thyristor to help identify any potential problems within the control system.
Immediate notification is also made on the display in the event of a heater break or SCR short circuit alarm.
Being able to connect a PC directly to the front of the display means it is possible to reconfigure up to 10 individual Thyristors by using the downloadable PC configuration software.
This reduces installation time and makes small process changes simple.
