An RSS news feed provides all the news from the monthly Pilz Safety Update email newsletters but without it arriving via an email inbox - and without any risk of it being inadvertently blacklisted by somebody else in your organisation RSS is an XML specification for content syndication, which allows the user to subscribe to the information to see and receive notification whenever new information is made available

As a result, one only sees the information that one is truly interested in, and relieve some of the pressure on e-mail inboxes.

RSS readers or 'news aggregators' are simple tools used to collect the information from those websites from which you have chosen to receive content.

A significant advantage is that you do not need to spend time repeatedly visiting your favourite websites just to check for changes; instead, the information comes to you effortlessly.

Most importantly RSS puts you, the subscriber, in complete control of the subscription process.

You only subscribe to the news feeds you want, then you can unsubscribe by simply deleting the feed in your news aggregator.

There is no confusion over whether unsubscribing will actually 'opt you in' to more unwanted emails.

Pilz Automation Technology has implemented a news feed its website homepage, as can be seen from the XML symbol.

If you do not already have one, you will need to install a news reader.

Essentially there are two types, desktop and web-based.

The desktop versions offers more advanced functionality but, if you wish to access the information from more than one place, you can receive your headlines wherever you happen to be with a web-based version.

There is currently no dominant news aggregator, so take a look at a few and decide which one best suits you.

To subscribe to the Pilz RSS news feed, click on the XML logo on the Pilz website home page; then read the instructions on the left-hand side of the browser window.
