Italian firm supplies 1000th CNC laser

Flat bed laser doubles up on cutting speed
At 09.00h at the first day of the EMO exhibition, Prima Industrie will unveil a flat bed laser cutting machine cutting over 1000 holes/min - twice that of current machines.
Platino handed the keys of the machine to the customer, Ritmo, a leading manufacturer of welding machinery for plastics components.
"Sales of the Platino have been excellent since its launch around 10 years ago," commented Prima sales director, Claudio Banchi.
"Setting new standards in terms of flexibility, productivity and reliability in sheet metal processing, the machine has so far been installed in around 50 countries".
PrimaT owes its success to its Platino machine, which has been effective in growing its market share of the European and North American flat cutting sector to more than 10%.
Prima, having some 30 years' expeience in laser cutting systems recently launched its Syncrono machine, which it claims is the world's fastest laser cutting system.
"For Prima Industrie the celebration of the 1000th Platino sale is above all an occasion to thank customers around the world who have chosen us as partners for their business," concluded Banchi.
