Water purification equipment for consistent supply

A Purite product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jun 29, 2007

Purite has launched the Integra L range of water purification equipment designed to provide laboratories with a consistent supply of purified water quickly and easily.

Purite, a manufacturer of high performance water purification equipment, has launched a range of integrated systems to provide an alternative to larger modular or skip mounted systems, which can take considerable time and investment to design and install.

By contrast, the Integra L range can enable laboratories to achieve a consistent supply of purified water extremely quickly and simply.

The Integra L range has been designed with all the components required to produce up to 600lts/hr of reverse osmosis water integrated into a neat housing, designed to fit through a standard sized door.

Additionally, the units are supplied on wheels for enhanced portability.

The new range can be specified for different water qualities, depending on laboratory application.

The base models, which use Reverse Osmosis (RO) to purify water, can be enhanced to produce water quality of up to 18.2Mohm.cm when used with a range of Integra packs, making them ideal for laboratory tasks such as glass washing, or for providing a feed for mixing buffers and reagents.

By enhancing the unit with a BioPack, which includes UV and 0.2um filtration, the Integra L range can also be used for generating water for applications requiring an enhanced bacterial specification of <1CFU/ml and endotoxins levels of 0.25EU/ml.

The range incorporates the Integra LS model, for use with soft water supplies, and the LH unit, for use with hard mains water.

An integral 250lt storage tank, which is fully drainable and bacterially protected, ensures that purified water is available on demand, with the system automatically switching to standby mode when the pure water tank is full, minimising energy consumption.

In addition, an raw water break tank with a Type AB air gap eliminates the possibility of water backflow and complies with water bye-laws.

As importantly, the Integra L range incorporates a range of features designed to simplify operation, installation and maintenance, while providing integrated data logging facilities with full traceability for reliable recall of results.

Semi-automatic cleaning cycles are included as part of the Integra L system, with maintenance agreements and complementary consumable products being readily available, allowing quick and easy cleaning and servicing routines.

Minimal installation and commissioning are required as all components are factory configured to ensure that each unit simply needs connecting to the desired services on site.
