Nyquist wants to raise its clients' knowledge of motion control to an even higher level, so that their clients can get even more out of their machines.
That is why Nyquist established the Nyquist Academy.
The Nyquist Academy is set up for clients, own staff and anyone else who is interested in motion control.

Linear transport system to transform assembly
Nyquist Industrial Control and Tecnotion are to produce a linear transport system that is transforming in-line manufacturing and assembly processes through its cost-saving technology.
Nyquist is a knowledge-based company that employs experienced and specialised Masters in Motion.
OEM machine builders use the Eindhoven company when they want to achieve a higher speed and a greater accuracy, and so increased productivity in their machines.
The Nyquist consultants first make an analysis of what lies at the root of the problem of the machine builder.
Where's the rub, what adjustments need to be made in order to solve the problem and which solutions can Nyquist contribute? In collaboration with its clients Nyquist wants to get the most out of the machine.
In order to do this service more justice, it is important for the knowledge of motion control to be elevated to an even higher level.
Nyquist therefore designed a professional education system that starts with the motion control knowledge students already have and takes it from there.
The focus ranges from 'What is motion control?' to questions such as 'What are the options regarding the deployment of frequency domain tuning?' The courses offer commercial as well as technical support for, for instance, service engineers so that they know how to use certain tools in the field.
Various courses have been designed in collaboration with Nyquist's drive and motor partners.
"We do not only provide our clients with our motion control products, but we offer them a complete solution with all the relevant know-how", says Twan Smetsers, Marketing and Services Director at Nyquist.
"During the design-in process, the tailoring of our products, we naturally share a lot of knowledge with our clients already, but with the Academy this is better guaranteed.
The client will benefit in that, he will gain a more profound insight, and becomes a real Master in Motion so that he will get more out of his investment, the eventual objective being: gaining a competitive edge.
We also use the Nyquist Academy to keep the motion control knowledge of our own staff up-to-the-minute." Prospective participants first come to Nyquist for an intake interview.
"We will determine the training need and the modules that may be relevant to that need", Smetsers explains.
"Depending on the outcome of this interview, we decide to either opt for a standard course or to create a tailored course for a specific client." The courses take an average of one to two days and are either given at the client's own location or at the Nyquist Academy room in Eindhoven.
"The benefit of the Nyquist Academy room is that we have more facilities and demonstration materials ready to hand, plus our location is easy to reach and we have sufficient parking space.
We offer our courses in various languages: Dutch, German, English and French.
And obviously, all teachers are 'Masters in Motion'." About Nyquist Industrial Control - the company designs and markets motion control systems for a variety of industrial applications in key market areas: semiconductor manufacturing equipment, robotics machines and factory automation.
