Vynagrip safety matting installed on
fishing boats

Vynagrip safety matting has been installed on Spanish fishing boats to provide high slip-reistance and a cleaner surface onto which the fish can be emptied from the nets.

Vynagrip safety matting is traditionally used in the rugged environment of heavy industrial plants and factories It has the long-proven reputation of being one of the toughest and most slip-resistant of working surfaces

Plastex's Spanish distributor, Decoplastic, recently used the benefits of the matting to persuade a section of the Spanish fishing industry that this was the right covering to use on the open deck of fishing trawlers and boats.

The first boat to use the matting has reported spectacular success.

The matting provides high slip-resistance not only against sea-water, which is dissipated through the open grid, but also against oil dripping from machinery and the netting chains.

The safety of the fishermen is further enhanced by having a relatively dry surface to work on when the nets are emptied, with the added benefit that the fresh fish is kept off the steel deck and is therefore cleaner.

Manufactured from PVC in a grid-welded format, Vynagrip is very hard-wearing with an extra-deep-etched top surface that reduces slipping.

Because it is comfortable to stand on, it also helps to reduce working fatigue, which, in turn, increases productivity.

The open-grid facilitates drainage for dissipating spillages and other debris.

The matting will contour over rough or uneven surfaces and is easily cut and shaped to fit around static equipment. Request a free brochure from Plastic Extruders ...
