French company finds novel use for Pillomats

A Plastic Extruders product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 30, 2008

A French pharmaceutical company has used Pillomats to exclude birds from entering its storage and despatch area and soiling goods and pallets.

The company solved the problem by hanging vertical lengths of Pillomat lightweight matting in the critical openings.

The open grid means that while light and air pass through, the birds are excluded.

The panels can be easily pushed aside when operating the loading dock.

Pillomat multi-purpose matting is commonly used as a light-duty floor covering, as well as a cushioned lining for working surfaces, shelves and storage compartments.

The matting comprises a lightweight grid of hollow and sealed PVC tubes.

This provides a flexible and hygienic surface which acts like an air cushion to provide maximum protection and to reduce impact damage.

The surface is smooth and doesn't scuff or mark.

It is hygienic and easy to wipe clean.

Pillomat is hard wearing and dissipates light spillage because of its open grid design.

It can be cut to fit any floor or working surface, can be shaped for complicated areas and can even be used for the display of food.

The matting, available in mahogany, beige, green and white, can be supplied in roll lengths from 10-50m and in widths of 60, 91 and 120cm.
