A Planet Platforms product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 6, 2008

Access equipment manufacturer and distributor Planet Platforms exhibited at the Southern Manufacturing Show, the largest UK regional manufacturing technology, electronics and subcontracting exhibition

Held in Farnborough, Hants on the 6th and 7th of February, the show saw Planet Platforms showcase PROdeck, Power Tower and Protec to thousands of engineering and electronics enthusiasts that attended the show.

The Power Tower is an all British manual push/pull battery-powered portable access tower, offering a 250kg capacity platform 1500mm long x 650mm wide, and an astonishing market leading 5.1m working height that still requires no outriggers.

At only 310kg, with its swivel castors, secure braking system and simple push button controls, the Power Tower is an easily operated machine.

It is also compact at only 0.78m wide, which enables it to pass easily through standard doorways.

PROdeck is a unique, aluminium compact, low-level, portable access solution offering a secure guarded 600mm x 600mm work platform.

Once folded, the unit can be wheeled between workstations simply and easily.

PROdeck is self-contained and features two platform heights of 700mm and 950mm.

Fully collapsible, it's a perfect alternative to any storage issues presented by bulkier alternatives.

Protec, the Planet Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) towers, are a popular choice for tasks due to their non-conductive and non-corrosive properties.

Because GRP is non-conductive, it also allows engineers to work in a safe environment, and saves any time involved setting up electrical safety measures required for traditional metal stagings.

PROdeck, Power Tower and Protec are brought to you by award-winning work at height specialist Planet Platforms; the company provides complete sales and after-sales support including lease packages, operator training, servicing and spare parts.
