ProShopMAX has now released a Pocket-PC version of its PC-based DRO system.

ProShopMAX has now released a Pocket-PC version of its PC-based DRO system The DRO is capable of accurately measuring position in up to four axes

This unit consists of a box that connects to either a PC or Pocket-PC by a serial cable and includes windows based software that runs on the PC.

Position encoders connect to the interface box and keeps track of the encoder's position.

This position information is communicated back to the PC 30 times a second.

The advantage of the PC and Pocket-PC DRO is that the software can be updated at any time.

As new functionality is added, your DRO is kept up-to-date with the latest features.

The DRO features the ability to have any resolution encoder on any axis.

You can mix and match English, Metric or any non-standard encoder resolution.

The DRO comes with the following features: - Virtually infinite encoder resolution - Settable display resolution - Circular and rectangular bolt pattern calculator - Vector to coordinate conversion - Tap/Drill Calculator - Feeds and Speeds Calculator - Unit Conversion Calculator - Multiple units can work on one PC (additional serial ports required) for more than 4 axes of display (PC only version) The PC version can work with any version of windows from 95 to XP.

The pocket PC requires Pocket-PC 2002, or 2003.

This DRO provides lots of functionality at a low cost and you have the option of using a PC or low cost Pocket-PC.
