Leading weighing and process control specialists Procon Engineering have recently gained BS EN ISO9001:2000 approval for their quality system from Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance This follows a complete update of the company's Quality Management System during 2003, to accommodate the new requirements of the BS EN ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Standard

As Procon's Quality Manager, Mark Hopkins explains: "Meeting the new standard has involved significant work across all departments and disciplines.

As part of the approval procedure Lloyds carried out a detailed 'on site' Transition Assessment of our processes and systems.

The update process also involved incorporating the various changes in the internal company activities that have naturally occurred with the development of the business since our last quality certification renewal." The certification is vital to Procon's future growth and is especially important for the company's rapidly expanding Service and Calibration Division.
