Powerful laser diode offers cost savings
for OEMs
The Opnext HL6750MG 685nm laser diode, manufactured by Photonic Product, could be utilised in medical devices such as x-rays or as a light source for optical equipment such as distance meters.

Supplied in a 5.6mm package, the Opnext HL6750MG is a single longitudinal mode laser diode with a high optical output power of 50mW CW at a visible wavelength of 685nm, low typical operating current of 75mA, low operating voltage of 2.3V, a low threshold current of 30mA, monitoring output current of 0.15mA and an operating temperature range of -10 degrees C to +70 degrees C.
It requires a negative (N type) power supply system.
