Leading board skills and testing support offered
AB Electronic Assemblies (ABEA) has invested over GBP500,000 to add new services to its portfolio, including bar coding, optical and BGA inspection, finer controls on screen printing and BGA re-work.
The company believes it now provides probably the most flexible options for school and workplace furniture that are less than the cost of wet paint, whilst being significantly more durable.
PEP is experiencing strong growth for its paint finishes in the furniture sector, particularly in the classroom, as well as benches and tables for school laboratories, and furniture for office and other workplaces.
Both areas are deriving significant benefits from the higher resistance to chemicals exhibited by PEP's STD Epoxy Paint when compared to the typical polyester paint that is often used, whilst the company's Nylon Powder Coating provides higher impact properties than polyester powder paint.

Anti-graffiti powder paint and PEP's antibacterial paint extend the options, whilst external furniture can also be similarly treated.
Those finishes are complemented by the company's high quality chrome plate and stainless steel polishing services, all offering durability for high usage furniture.
PEP can provide a 24-hour turn-round on work, although a two-day service is the norm for school and laboratory furniture.
There is complete freedom in choice of colour, with surface treatments being resistant to wear, chemicals and displaying anti-bacterial properties depending on the finish chosen.
All furniture is pre-treated by PEP and powder painted entirely in-house to ensure a complete and consistent paint finish.
Pre-treatments include alochrome, phosphate and shot blasting, whilst the range of paints features epoxy, polyester, epoxy/polyester and wet acrylic.
Top quality is ensured by PEP's automatically controlled Speed Line, which is complemented by an off line spray stand for large components.
The company's coatings are now also being used for general furniture fittings and other laboratory equipment.
