Palletcap Plus is claimed to solve the problem by folding down from 32cm to 20cm, reducing height and transport, shipping and storage costs.
This will be particularly useful when clearance is limited on double-deck trailers or racking.
Last year Palletcap won two awards - a Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) award for excellence and an award in the storage and handling category of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) awards for excellence.
The company said that Palletcap helps counter rising levels of stock damage during storage and transit as the old system of putting warning labels on pallets has proved ineffective.
Hayley Shirley, managing director of Palletcap Limited, said: "We have introduced Palletcap Plus in direct response to customer demand.
The improved design offers all the advantages of the original and greater flexibility.
We try to work as closely as possible with customers to ensure their business needs are met and we have several other projects under way as further response to customer feedback.".
