Solid state motor starters for up to 2HP single phase, or 5HP three phase, are ideal for motor applications that are subjected to constant starting and stopping such as conveyor systems.

Power-IO manufactures solid state motor starters that are capable of turning on industrial motors up to 2HP single phase, or up to 5HP three phase A solid state motor starter is ideal for motor applications that are subjected to constant starting and stopping such as conveyor systems, airport baggage handling equipment or packaging applications

Unaffected by high levels of shock and vibration, the Power-IO solid state contactor is also ideal for applications in the metal stamping, mining, and forestry industries where these problems are common.

The Power-IO product includes the Maximum Surge SurvivalT technology and a conservative internal SCR design to ensure long life when exposed to the voltage and amperage surges of motor starting.

All motor applications require that the solid state relay be chosen based upon the maximum inrush surge of the motor.

This is frequently about 6-8 times the amperage that is required once the motor is running.

Your motor supplier can tell you this number.

The clear, finger-safe cover permits an additional motor starter MOV to be placed directly across the solid state contactor's output, for a fourth layer of voltage surge protection.

The size and shape of the plastic safety cover means that the MOV can be easily inserted without any additional heat shrink tubing or other time consuming requirements.

The Power-IO solid state contactor is available as either 100-280V AC activated or 4-32V DC activated.

A green LED indicates the status of the control input signal.

Due to the low, current-limited, control input requirements; three of the Power-IO units can be easily used for a three phase motor application.
