* Biographical Notes on Duncan Edwards - born near Llanelli, Edwards gained a TEC Certificate in Electrical Engineering as part of his apprenticeship with Krupp Camford Pressings , then part of the Austin-Rover group.
He subsequently held electrical and electronic control posts at the automotive presswork manufacturer, before being appointed its senior laser welding engineer in 1998.
In this position, he project managed the installation of - and subsequently controlled all operational aspects of - a laser welding line capable of producing more than 500,000 assemblies per year.
In 2001, he took charge of the maintenance and repair of 40 light presses, three robotic press lines, 70 tandem presses and 11 progression/cut up lines within the company's press shop, with responsibilities for 26 staff.
A six sigma black belt, Edwards continues to live in Llanelli and lists DIY, golf, junior rugby coaching and reading among his leisure pursuits.
