Program chuck jaw movements and gripping force
Patented programmable powered chuck at MACH 2002, allows the control of jaw stroke, jaw engagement/ retraction start/stop, gripping force and speed of movement to be program-controlled.
The 'Setrite' centring chuck is a well-respected product in the USA and indeed throughout the world, due mainly to the outstanding user benefits it provides.
One such benefit is a concentricity-adjustment feature built into the body for high precision machining, while its ability to grip fragile or thin walled components securely without them sustaining distortion or damage is another big selling point.
The chuck is also extremely robust, incorporating a durable steel body and exceptionally tough alloy steel scroll.
Pratt Burnerd Sales Manager Alan Jenkin comments: "The Setrite chuck sells exceptionally well in this very competitive market and this latest order to the US machine tool sector underlines the product's popularity and the high regard in which it is held." Pratt Burnerd International is a world leader in the design and manufacture of manual and power chucks (from 80 to 2000mm diameter), and other workholding equipment.
