Sheet metal punching FMS has two cells
Britain's leading ride-on garden machinery manufacturer, Countax, has installed a GBP1 million sheet metalworking cell in a purpose-built extension to its Oxfordshire factory.
Positioning speed in the 3 metre X-axis is up to 228m/min, maximum nibbling hit rate is 1,100 per minute, punching speed at 25mm centres is up to 520 hits per minute and laser cutting up to 20m/min is possible.
Contributing further to high productivity are the 167 rpm turret indexing speed and a turret capacity of 200 tools using multi-tools.
Various systems can be supplied to automate the machine.
At EuroBlech 2002 in Hannover, where the machine was launched, it was exhibited with a 5-axis loading, sorting and stacking robot as well as an 8-position sorting unit.
Alternatively, Laser Brilliance can be equipped with flexible, modular materials handling equipment to form a production cell.
It can also be integrated in a Night Train flexible manufacturing system for high capacity production. Request a free brochure from Press and Shear Machinery ...
