FG Wilson - a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar and one of the world's largest manufacturers of diesel generators, for the supply of a sheet metalworking FMS.
An order has been placed by FG Wilson, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar and one of the world's largest manufacturers of diesel generators, for the supply of a sheet metalworking FMS (flexible manufacturing system).
Comprising two 'Shear Genius' CNC punching and shearing machines and a fully automated bending cell, all integrated with a raw material and parts storage system, the equipment is being built by the Finnish manufacturer, Finn-Power, and will be supplied through UK agent, Press and Shear Machinery, to FG Wilson's Belfast factory.
The FMS will be in production at the end of 2005.
