CNC turret punch press is at affordable
level

Latest Finn-Power 230kN hydraulic turret punch press has been priced at a highly affordable level and has a working area is 1250mm x 2500mm without repositioning.

Finn-Power again made a strong presence at EMO 2005 Among new products introduced there was a 230kN hydraulic turret punch press, and a new-series hydraulic press brake with an 'O' frame construction for a long stroke, almost unlimited throat depth and extended work area

The third new product on display was a bending machine, which adds a new automation level to Finn-Power's already wide range of bending technology.

* World premiere of new Finn-Power turret punch press - the new hydraulic 230kN (23 tonf) X5 turret punch press has been priced at a highly affordable level.

Its working area is 1250mm x 2500mm without repositioning, and production can be started very soon after order placement.

The new X5 is based on Finn-Power's experience of more than 20 years of making hydraulic turret punch presses.

It combines all well-known, practice-proven Finn-Power features but nothing unnecessary.

The customer can choose the options required and make the machine match his requirements.

* Adaptive hydraulics and digital control - the X5 has a robust O-frame and a twenty-station turret.

Seventeen tool holders have been specified and three are free for customer selection.

Index or Multi-Tools can be chosen.

Max.

tool diameter is 88.9mm.

The turret punch press offers full 230kN punching throughout the punching stroke and features CNC programmable continuous speed control of punching.

Individual electronic control of stroke depth eliminates the need for manual shimming after tool sharpening.

Highly accurate digital punch control ensures efficiency when using special tools and applications, e g, in forming.

Due to adaptive hydraulics, punching operation is continuous even in prolonged heavy-duty production and in high ambient temperatures.

* Thought-out ease of operation - solutions for both software and manual operations in loading and unloading have been designed with operator ease in mind.

Control is the latest version of Fanuc 0 iP.

Only a simple push is needed to load larger sheets against an X pin.

For loading smaller sheets, another X pin and one of five alternative table positions is used to ensure easy operation.

Clamps have pneumatic central locking, operated either by a foot switch or automated with the Auto-clamp option.

The X5 can be equipped from a wide range of options to meet individual manufacturing requirements.

* New Finn-Power Press Brake - Finn-Power introduced a new hydraulic press brake designed for maximum productivity and flexibility.

The unique 'O' frame construction of series 2 B 3060 is extremely stable, ensuring perfect tool alignment and allowing long parts to be bent without limitations of throat depth.

Furthermore, this construction enables more tool settings since the back gauge fingers can move over the whole bending length.

The back gauge itself consists of five independent axes, (delta)X being 515mm.

The machine features 240 tons of force and an exceptional long stroke of 450mm.

* New semi-automatic bending solution by Finn-Power - Finn-Power introduced a new range of semi-automatic bending centres.

The BC se-ries consists of both hydraulic and servo electric constructions, which offer the well-known Express Bender benefits precision, With BC Finn-Power extends the possibility of automatic bending to new applications such as fully perforated material or sheets with big forms.

Maximum bending length varies from 1650mm to 2550mm depending on the model, and max.

sheet thickness from 2.0mm to 3.2mm (Fe 37).

Max.

bend height is 200mm.

Loading operation is simultaneous with un-loading for shorter cycle time.

The parts to be processed are transferred automatically from an external table, which ensures full safety for the operator.

An automatic clamp feeder moves the part to be bent from the table to the manipulator.

When all bends have been made, an automatic pusher conveyor unloads bent parts to the unloading table with automatic buffer function.

With the automatic tool change option, set-up change becomes fully automatic when the component to be bent is changed.

The BC bending centre can be customised using the wide range of FINN-POWER options such as automatic tool change, additional upper tool, additional short blade, etc.

* Strong presence in Italy - Finn-Power strengthened its hold of the Italian market as the sheet metal working technology business of Zinetti, the previous distributor, was transferred to Finn-Power Italia on 16th July, 2005.

Finn-Power Italia continues as Finn-Power's bending technology unit with R and D and manufacturing functions, and the transfer of business and personnel adds the sales and service operations of the whole Finn-Power range, creating a fully-fledged industrial enterprise.

"Our primary target is to create establish a direct contact to Italian customers".

"This improves our customer service in sales, in custom engineering and supporting large Finn-Power manufacturing systems, which are numerous in Italy, and in after sales services of the extensive installed machine base," says Tomas Hedenborg, president and CEO of the Finn-Power Group.

"The merging of two highly qualified organizations will create obvious synergy benefits that speed up Finn-Power's growth in this important market." * Organisation - in connection with the transfer, Maurizio Zinetti has been nominated managing director, with responsibility for marketing and sales, of Finn-Power Italia.

Ugo Ceppi continues as managing director in charge of production in Italy.

He also continues as responsible for the production function of the entire Finn Power Group. Request a free brochure from Press and Shear Machinery ...
