Inspiring tomorrow's UK engineers
Hundreds of UK Members of Parliament, business leaders, students, engineers and academics will converge at the IMechE for the event, 'Inspiring Tomorrow's Engineers'.
John Ling, IMechE Technical Manager, comments, "NCR Self Service Operations will be strong contenders in the Awards.
We are now at a critical stage of the competition where the assessors visit the finalist companies for validation of their working practices.
I wish all finalists the very best of luck." Jim Leighton, Operations Director, NCR Self Service Operations, said, "It is great news that we have been shortlisted as finalists.
We continuously work to improve the way we run our business, and this competition provides us with a benchmark as to how well we are performing against other leading UK companies.
This is tremendous recognition for the efforts of everyone based here in Dundee.
I believe the improvements we have implemented over the last two years to achieve Class A certification (MRP II) will have been a significant factor in the judges choice to shortlist us as finalists.
We look forward to welcoming the IMechE Assessors to our facility.
The winner will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Wednesday evening, 25 June 2003, at the Dorchester Hotel, London.
The ceremony is open to all.
