PROFIBUS International has announced the availability of a Test Specification for PROFInet Certification This new Guideline will help machine and plant builders, integrators and manufacturers ensure that their products and systems comply with the PROFInet specification, the organisation's new object-based standard for multi-vendor, plant-wide integration of distributed automation systems

Profibus and Profinet International has published documents concerning the integration of IO-Link into PROFIBUS and PROFINET to enable wider use of IO-Link.
