Profibus user conference programme
Programme includes presentation focusing on the development of fieldbus systems and the way forward with particular emphasis on integration of fieldbus into modern process systems

Drive interface is internationally standardised
The established PROFIdrive profile for PROFIBUS and PROFINET became an internationally standardized drive interface, following publication of the IEC series 61800-7.

Day Two includes presentations from James Powell of Siemens Milltronics "Field Instruments Under a Microscope", while Nina Vaughan of Pepperl+Fuchs will be discussing Fieldbus for Hazardous Areas.
Other presentations include a case study featuring Profibus DP, PA and AS Interface and a worked example process project entitled "How to estimate data rate" presented by Alexander Kaiser of ABB.
Both days will feature hands-on workshops, each presented twice to ensure no-one misses out.
These are Device Configuration and Asset Management- a joint hands-on event with Andy Smith of Endress + Hauser and Mark McCormick of Siemens Process Control; Profibus Installation and also Profinet Installation from Andy Verwer, Principal Lecturer at MMU, and Profibus Commissioning and Health Checking from Joost van der Nat of Procentec.
Other formal presentations lined up for the two day event include two from Manfred Popp, Chairman of the Profinet Working Group - Overview and applications of Profinet and Modern Ways of communication with Profinet I/O; Peter Brown of Siemens UK will discuss Profinet and Component-based Automation, Alan Bollard of Westermo will present on Wireless Fieldbus and there will be an automated warehouse logistics case study involving Profibus and Profinet from Andy Childs of FKI Logistics.
Priced at just GBP95 + VAT for one day or GBP160 + VAT for two days, the Conference represents really good value for anyone wishing to learn about Profibus, Profinet or PROFIsafe in Process or Factory Automation.
