Production management software includes tooling

A complete tool management and inventory system has been integrated into Datatrack Production Management software to track tool stocks and usage of durable and consumable tooling.

At the request of existing users, Prospec Systems have designed and integrated a complete Tool Management and Inventory system into their PSL Datatrack Production Management software and released it together with the latest Version 3.4 of the application.

Large numbers of tools never find their way back to stores and many tools, which could be re-used, are discarded or lost.

Add to this machine downtime due to tools being in use elsewhere or not available at all when the machine setup commences, and you begin to accumulate enormous costs for what is sometimes the smallest element in the entire production process.

The Tool Management module tracks tool stocks and usage of durable and consumable tooling, accommodates multiple preferred and alternative production methods for any component, records and produces complete setup information for the workshop, and specifies pre-setting and pre-kitting requirements for CNC machines.

Full integration with Purchase Order Processing modules ensures that ordering and re-ordering is a simple and rapid routine with minimum stocks and predicted usage of consumables being part of the package.

This eliminates the scheduling jobs where no tools are available or where the only tools available are in use on another machine or component.

Machine downtime waiting for collets, tool holders or cutting tools is eliminated.

You know in advance if they will be available or need to be purchased.
