Apprentice gains work recognition award
Young apprentice Philip Muslek, who joined Packaging Automation 12 months ago, has won the Stockport Engineering Training Association 'Apprentice of the Year' award.
Designed for the filling, heat sealing and over-capping of pots up to 130mm in diameter or 116mm square, it is said to be suitable for a cross section of users including producers of drinks, yoghurts, cream, sauces, liquid desserts, dips and any other liquid, viscous and semi-viscous products, added Packaging Automation.
The linear machine has been designed to be easy to use and maintain and it is supplied with a multi-function touch screen operator interface allowing quick access to all the machine functions and settings and filling parameters, said the company.
Other features include interchangeable quick release container location slats, allowing alternative container types to be used, pre-cut diaphragm lid dispense and traversing date coder assembly.
It has been designed to meet the strictest hygiene standards and has CIP capabilities.
Last year Mark Leaning, who the company said has extensive experience in the sector, was appointed to the sales team and is responsible for promoting the new machine along with several other recently developed filling and sealing machines including the Fastfill60.
Speaking about the latest machine, Leaning commented: "The Fasttrack 400 has been designed to take advantage of the latest technology available, making it fast, efficient, and easy to operate.
As with all our equipment it is backed up by our excellent support service, 24 hours-a-day throughout the year.
We are confident that with the new machine, combined with our pre-sales support and reputation for quality, we can offer exactly what new and existing customers want.".
