Traysealing Systems Suit All Types Of Production
Packaging Automation (PA) has developed a full range of traysealing equipment claimed to be suitable for all sizes and levels of production.
The company said that the compact automatic machine was ideal for the venture - robust, easy to use and with speedy tool change-overs.
In addition it handles varied tray sizes and offers the facility of print registration.
It has the advantage of stainless steel guarding and a sealed machine bed - designed with hygiene and ease of cleaning paramount, added the company.
Al-Ghalia hired an engineer to visit Packaging Automation in Cheshire to receive training on the machine.
The engineer then returned to Saudi Arabia to install and commission it.
Packaging Automation's sales engineer Simon Turner, who worked alongside project engineer Tony Ferrabee, explained: "The company had no experience in this industry so needed significant input from us at every stage - not just in terms of the best machine, but also in terms of suppliers for film, trays and so on.
It was an unusual challenge for us as normally customers come to us knowing what they need." Turner continued: "In this case we controlled the whole process and even though we didn't go on site to install and commission the machine, we were able to train the engineer employed by Al-Ghalia well enough for him to carry out the procedure and get the machine operational.
In fact, the engineer rang us on Christmas Day to say the machine was running well.
With PLC control, an easy to use touch screen and menu driven operation all adding to ease of use there have been no problems." In addition to the Vision 182 machine, the company also purchased a bench mounted PA217 machine for some trial work.
Simon Turner concluded: "It's encouraging that our reputation is such that we are recognised as the leading manufacturer, not just by those in the UK, but further afield as well.".
