It has proved to be reliable and efficient as well as very easy to clean and maintain." Lam, who employs a staff of 39, turned to Packaging Automation on the back of his previous experience of the company's products, gained whilst working for another food manufacturer.
He knew the PA182 would be ideal for the chilled Chinese ready meals, including prawn, beef, duck, chow mein, noodles, seaweed and barbeque ribs - and for the trays used in production of some of the meals, which have additional space for sauce portions, said Packaging Automation.
He added: "Our experience of Packaging Automation has been very positive - both the level of service and the machine itself - which I can only describe as excellent.
I would certainly recommend them to anyone else looking for tray sealing equipment." Packaging Automation's sales manager Neil Ashton said the contract struck with Wok Express was one of a number which the company has won because of its flexibility, willingness to work alongside customers to meet their exact requirements and a readiness to hire out its machines.
He said: ''Wok Express needed a new machine and we were able to meet its needs quickly.
We could also offer flexible payment terms which allowed the company to install the PA182 straight away so that it could increase production to keep up with the growing demand for its popular range of ready meals.".
