PA Tray sealers on display at AUSPACK
Visitors to this year's AUSPACK exhibition in Melbourne will see equipment from leading UK manufacturer Packaging Automation (Australian representative MPI)
MPI, which has represented Packaging Automation equipment in Australia since 2004, will show two of the company's tray sealers as part of an extensive range of machinery at the international packaging and processing exhibition in May The decision follows high levels of interest in Packaging Automation equipment as demand for convenience packaging for ready meals, prepared fruit and vegetables, and salads continues to grow in Australia

Apprentice gains work recognition award

The impressive Vision 400 is a compact, high-speed automatic tray sealer which is capable of atmospheric and modified atmosphere packaging.
It can seal and trim film from a reel onto trays of various materials including, but not limited to, CPET, polypropylene, PVC, board and foil.
It will be shown alongside the hugely popular PA182 semiautomatic hand turned rotary table tray sealer which is used extensively through the UK, and is finding success with Australian companies such as the OneHarvest group, and Matilda Fresh Foods.
Recently it has been selected by Eco Smart Technologies in New South Wales to help launch an innovative interlocking combination platter.
The success of the PA182 has been attributed to its simplicity, ease of use, portability and two-minute tool changes.
MPI's sales director Peter Matthews said: "Since taking over the PA tray sealing machines we have been very pleased with the high level of support that PA gives MPI.
This level of service has been of great benefit to the Australian customers now using PA equipment".
"With fast turn around of tooling, customers are able to react very quickly to the demands of the Australian market".
