A high performance horizontal machining centre provides power and cutting capability of heavier duty machines with the performance of high speed machines.
Shown for the first time in the UK at Productivity Partnerships exhibition will be the latest high performance Toyoda Mitsui Seiki horizontal machining centre that provides a machining solution that has the power and cutting capability of heavier duty machines with the performance of high speed machines The FH800SX, available through the 600 Centre, has been developed to provide users with a single high productivity machining centre able to withstand heavy duty cuts on steel and difficult to machine materials as well as non-ferrous materials to high orders of accuracy and precision

Employing a high rigidity linear guideway configuration, the Toyoda Mitsui Seiki FH800SX enables maximum benefits in stability under cut to be realised from the 30kW spindle providing a massive 600Nm of torque.
The 800mm by 800mm pallet with up to 1.3 tonne table loading has an acceleration of 0.5G to 48m/min rapid traverse to minimise non-cutting times and enables full advantage to be taken of programmable feed rates up to 30m/min.
The machine column has also been developed to capitalise on the machine structure to provide an ideal platform for roughing cycles and high precision for finish machining via the high torque spindle that has double the normal driving force on the Y-axis via dual ballscrew and motor arrangement.
Indeed, dual ballscrews are fitted to all axes for higher rigidity under cut.
Integrated within the machine frame is automatic temperature compensation to counter any thermal effects that could normally influence the drive system.
Options include smaller pallet sizes of 630mm or 550mm and a high speed spindle variant capable of 15,000 rev/min.
This spindle option is also powered by a 30kW drive.
