MAS helps companies add GBP 90,000 value
per year

The actual bottom line improvements can be astonishing as shown in a number of case studies from across the region, for example the productivity gains achieved by introducing lean manufacturing techniques are typically between 20 - 50%.
Lead times can be slashed, and inventory capital reduced.
Launched in April 2002, the MAS was established by the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and the DTI to work with companies in the region to make improvements to their manufacturing processes, supply chain and product development activities.
Over 60 companies a month contact the MAS East Midlands, and are reaping the benefits of productivity improvements and value added efficiency savings.
For qualifying companies, additional support is available through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to help companies grow beyond 'the productivity ceiling' through product and process innovation.
A staged innovation management process is provided to assist in taking concepts to full market exploitation and volume supply, through a dedicated practical assistance programme known as the innovation-factory, enabling businesses to swiftly achieve a level of change through innovation.
Companies wishing to find out more, can attend the region's first ever manufacturing show being held at Donington Park on Tuesday September 16th and 17th, where Steve Mosley, head of the MAS East Midlands, will be presenting.
