Pharmaceuticals company, in reviewing its on-pack brand image, recognised that this could be delivered effectively at the point of opening by incorporating messages into the tear tape.

Payne's reputation as a one stop supplier for easy opening and branding and communications has been underlined by Alfares Pharmaceuticals Co's decision to use a branded tear tape across its product range.

Based in Damascus, Syria, Alfares has used Payne tear tape for several years to provide convenient opening and tamper evidence for a number of over-wrapped products in its range.

The company recently decided to reinforce its on-pack brand image, and recognised that this could be delivered effectively at the point of opening by incorporating messages into the tear tape.

Payne has supplied a branded Supastrip tear tape featuring a wide width Alfares logo.

Full design origination and support was provided by Payne's in-house design studio in Nottingham.

The 9mm tape is supplied on 2.5km bobbins to allow longer production runs between changeovers.

"We already recognised the benefit of Payne's tear tape, but the addition of our logo has further enhanced its value," comments Dr Nader Chaghlil, general manager of Alfares Pharmaceuticals Co "The new tape is an ideal means of reinforcing brand awareness with our consumers.
