Precision linear stages are at affordable price
For precision automation uses, a motorized family of high-precision linear stages are combined with low-cost servo motor controller to form very affordable motion control systems.
Closed-loop scanning stages are flexure-guided
Closed-loop flexure-guided piezoelectric scanning stages provide a record travel range of 1000 microns and allow nanotechnology/precision microscopy probing of larger areas than before.
Systems range from pen-tip-sized ceramic actuators for high-volume optics and medical applications, to high-force non-magnetic ceramic actuators for ultra-precision vacuum applications.
* Ultrasonic actuators - high-speed ultrasonic actuators provide velocity to 800mm/s (32 in/s) and accelerations to 20G, while flexure actuators respond to control input in as little as a few 100 microsec to operate fast pumps or position optics in high-speed focusing or alignment applications.
In addition to the novel piezo ceramic motors and actuators, a number of ballscrew actuators with servo and stepper motors are also available: they provide resolution in the 0.1 micron range, and forces to 400N (40kgf / 88 lbf).
Non-magnetic and vacuum compatible versions are offered throughout the product spectrum.
These precision actuators are designed for applications in fields such as the following.
* Aerospace and astronomy.
* Semiconductor metrology.
* Medical design.
* Ultra-precision machining.
* Test and measurement.
* Photonics, optics, microscopy.
* Biotechnology / life sciences.
* Precision motion control.
