Metal finishing firm gains ISO TS 16949

UK-based metal finishing company, Profin Protective Finishing, said it has beaten its competitors in gaining the only worldwide automotive recognised quality standard ISO TS 16949 accreditation.

Midlands, UK-based metal finishing company, Profin Protective Finishing, said it has achieved the only worldwide automotive recognised quality standard ISO TS 16949 accreditation in advance of most of competitors.

This approval covers the full range of services offered as follows.

* Powder coating.

* Cathodic electro painting.

* Zinc rich coating.

* Dip Spin.

* Phosphating and oiling.

Profin Protective Finishing operates four large factories in Redditch, Worcestershire.

Founded in 1895, the company began with plating needles and later gradually diversified into other ranges of finishes.

Profin now serves the automotive, aerospace, defence, marine, rail, fabrication and construction industries.

The company offers first class finishing services for all types of ferrous, zinc, aluminium and combination materials including die-castings.

Services include the following.

* 6h+ turnaround in application of wide range of high quality corrosion resistant finishes.

* Programmable build cathodic electropaint.

* Ppowdercoat with full range of gloss levels, RALand BS colours available together with JCB and Caterpillar, metallics and textured powder.

* Pre-treatment phosphate and degreasing facilities.

* Dip-spin centrifugal painting to include zinc rich flake hexavalent chrome free Zintek, PTFE, Xylan, colour coding, enamels, lacquers, stains and oils.

Recent additions to plant include a latest Vixen pre-treatment plant for phosphate pre-treatment of fabrications of up to 2.5m in length as an alternative to vapour degreasing.
