Monitor aerosols and particulates
efficiently
A wide choice of portable and fixed options of aerosols and particulates monitors covers particles from 5nm to 20 micron in size and concentrations from 1 to 1010 particles/litre.
Quantitech of Milton Keynes are exclusive UK distributors for Grimm Aerosol Technik of Ainring, Germany, for over 20 years a leading supplier of particle monitoring equipment A wide choice of portable and fixed options covers particles from 5nm to 20 micron in size and concentrations from 1 to 1010 particles/litre

Monitoring sub-micron aerosols and particulates
Motor manufacturers or indeed anyone interested in studying or monitoring sub-micron aerosols and particulates will appreciate the benefits of sequential mobility particle sizer and counter.
Power, ambient air and pure water supply hydrogen
A convenient way of supplying high purity hydrogen and zero air for a wide range of monitoring applications requires only power, ambient air, a supply of pure water and fewer cylinders.
Many commercially available dust monitors are designed for permanent installation, but the portability that has been a key design requirement of the Grimm instruments makes them ideal for field applications - the 1100 series are the world's smallest battery powered portable occupational dust monitors.
Different models in the 1100 series use patented laser and filter based technologies to measure and display Inhalable, Thoracic and Alveolic respirable dust values or size/mass distribution data.
Results can be logged locally on data storage cards (up to 64mB) or downloaded to PC.
For ultra-fine particles (aerosols) the Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) range can detect particles as small as 5nm in diameter and concentrations up to 1010 particles/litre.
The N-butyl alcohol vapour used to render the particles detectable is supplied from an integral spill-proof reservoir, again with the objective of true portability.
These particle counters can be coupled with a Grimm Electrostatic Classifier (DMA) to provide a complete counter and particle size spectrometer system.
Working on the sequential sizing principle, three DMA models handle size distributions from 5nm to 875nm.
According to Chris Tyrell, Quantitech's Product Specialist: "This range offers a genuine European manufactured alternative to American products, with real technical advantages and very attractive prices.".
