Portable Analyser For SF6
The InfraRanT Specific Vapour Analyser available now from Quantitech provides real time, on-site measurements of SF6 down to below 1ppm.
Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) is an important industrial gas, used as an insulator in electrical switchgear and in metal processing It is, however, a very potent greenhouse gas" so it is important to control leakage from these applications

Motor manufacturers or indeed anyone interested in studying or monitoring sub-micron aerosols and particulates will appreciate the benefits of sequential mobility particle sizer and counter.
It is also used as a "tracer" gas for testing ventilation systems and its use is prescribed in US, UK and European norms for testing laboratory fume cupboards.
The new InfraRanT Specific Vapour Analyser from Wilks provides real time, on-site measurements of SF6 down to below 1ppm.
A measuring range of 0-10ppm, resolution of 0.01 ppm and typical response time of 5-10 seconds make the instrument ideal for tracer and leak detection applications.
Factory calibrated and with easy-to-use menu-driven software, the InfraRanT Specific Vapour Analyser enables non-technical personel make fast, accurate measurements with minimal training.
The InfraRanT is truly portable - it weighs only 8.2 Kg and runs for up to 8 hours on its internal rechargeable NiMH battery pack.
Mains power can also be used for convenience in the laboratory.
Internal data logging is provided for convenient recording of results.
The only consumables required are zero gas and particulate filters, so cost of ownership is kept to a minimum.
UK distributors for the UK distributors for the InfraRanT Specific Vapour Analyser are Quantitech of Milton Keynes.
