QED is pleased to announce that its applications centre is now operational This means that QED can now undertake process development studies for your application

The centre is equipped with a two axis 'flying optics' table with a working area of 700x800mm, integrated to this is a carbon dioxide laser with a power output of up to 200W.

There is also a laser dot matrix laser marking system with a laser power of 35W.

The facility can laser cut, mark or weld materials such as wood, MDF, plastics, foams, ceramics and some thin metals.

Obviously not all processes apply to these materials.

Process development charges depend on the level of resources required and are kept to an absolute minimum and in any event they are capped to a maximum value.

If a system is subsequently purchased any development costs are deducted from the system cost.
