Using coulometric technology, the STANNOMetal 9000 system is able to measure Tin and Alloy plating thickness on Tin plated Ferrum (Fe).

Using coulometric technology, the STANNOMetal 9000 system is able to measure Tin and Alloy plating thickness on Tin plated Ferrum (Fe) The stannium (Sn) is measured while the system slowly deplates the coating and accurately measures the amount of tin it removes from the sample

Customers such as steel mills (who do not want the tin coating thickness to be too high), as well as can makers and can fillers using tin plated steel (who do not want the tin coating thickness to be too low) can make use of this equipment to verify product acceptance.

CHROMetal uses similar technology in order to measure tin-plated (TP) chromium (Cr) coating thickness using a simple gauging technology.

The products come in manual or automatic form and are able to measure at one spot (i.e, top and bottom tests are done simultaneously) or at three-spots (top and bottom tests are done simultaneously at three different positions along the sample).

The system is useful for companies needing to perform acceptance testing on incoming materials, or for tin mills needing to perform Q/A verification for outgoing products.
