Optical Gauge For Seaming Machines Preparation

A Quality By Vision product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 27, 2004

The optical gauge from Quality By Vision assists operators during the roll and chuck installation stage by providing accurate measurements during the roll adjustment phase.

Quality By Vision is releasing a new tool to ease preparation of seaming machines.

The new optical gauge assists operators during the roll and chuck installation stage by providing accurate measurements during the roll adjustment phase.

This enables accurate placement of the rolls and subsequently results in better double-seam closures and longer production runs.

The Clearance gauge system is easy to use and operators require very little expertise in order to quickly adjust a seamer.

The gauge uses Quality By Vision's projection technologies in order to measure the clearance distances between the roll and the chuck directly within the seamer itself.

The gauge can be used during the roll and chuck installation phase or during scheduled downtime for accurate measurements of the roll's position against the chuck in each of the seamer heads, for both first and second operation rolls.

The product will be publically shown at the Quality By Vision Booth #835, during the upcoming Cannex exhibition in Denver, Colorado on May 26-28, 2004.
